What’s on Your Knitting Bucket List?

Welcome back, folks!

We hope that you had a truly wonderful Christmas, whether exciting or peaceful. But the holidays aren’t quite over yet- we’re now counting down the days (and soon, the hours) until 2017

Last year, we shared our Knitting Resolutions. Some of then we kept…but we won’t talk about the others. Now it’s time again to look forward to another year of projects, of stashing and casting on and yes, even ripping back.

What’s on your Knitting Bucket List? What do you want to knit (or crochet!) most in 2017?

Perhaps it’s a pattern in your Ravelry favorite that you keep coming back to visit. What’s keeping you from casting on? If it’s fear of the challenge, 2017 might be your year to take the plunge- and a Project Card (including ive 1/2-hour lessons by appointment) is a good place to start.

I can’t stop drooling over the dozens of addictive patterns by Lisa Hannes, one of our favorite designers- her patterns dominate my Ravelry favorites! Visit the shop to see six of her designs in person!

Maybe you’re just dying to work with a really special yarn. Is it in your stash, waiting for the perfect project? Or have you seen it at your LYS, begging to go home with you? We’ve welcomed so many GORGEOUS new yarns this fall and winter, it’s hard to choose; you might be tempted to try them all.

As you can see, we’re currently in love with chunky and tweed yarns…and there’s more on the way!

You may even long to throw caution to the wind and learn something completely new. Are you a knitter who longs to crochet, or vice versa? Or maybe you’re ready to try weaving for the first time? Check our class schedule throughout the upcoming year- we have more offerings than ever for crochet and weaving, and we’ll keep the new knitting classes coming, too!

We have big plans for these little looms this year- stay tuned for more information about beginning weaving, and later a one-of-a-kind workshop!

Personally, my bucket list includes all of the above…which means I need to get started! What about you? Share your 2017 Knitting Bucket List below, and we promise to help you make it happen!

Happy New Year!

Sheri, Emily, Susan, and Anita

Lifetime bucket list would be to knit an Alice Starmore Fair Isle. Next year I’d be happy to finally finish the Hanna Falkenberg that’s been marinating in the UFOs for more than a couple of years. And in 2017 I also want to finish my original Fair Isle vest, begun last spring at a workshop with Janine Bajus.

Love your cloth on the loom!

Yes, Yes and Yes to everything you mentioned. I want to work on projects on needles, projects for yarn in my stash, new projects Lisa Hannes looks amazing, crochet, looming. I doubt I’ll have enough time to get through it all but I’m going to try.
