Whether you’re a knitter or crocheter, beginner or master, connoisseur of luxury fibers or synthetic fiber junkie, one thing we can agree on:

We love yarn.

We can’t get enough of it. But with nearly unlimited options available, even we yarnaholics become overwhelmed. You know the feeling- you’ve wandered deep into the far corners of your LYS in search of the perfect yarn for your next project, and every skein poses new possibilities. What will it look like? How will it feel? Will it work for your pattern? Will it last?

The answers to these questions are often complicated, because there are so many factors that affect the way a yarn looks, feels, and behaves. Of course your friendly neighborhood Yarn Patch employee is always there to help. But we know you want to conquer the unknown, dive in, and demystify yarn forever.

Great idea. How about something about drape. Is it the yarn content or the gauge or what .

What a great idea, but I am not surprised since you all take such good care of us at the Yarn Patch! When I started knitting a while ago, I found it difficult to know the differences between vareigated, hand dyed, hand painted and what that really means in terms of color play, pooling and striping. Just a thought to include in your series. I am soooo happy that you all are doing this series.
