A Warped Perspective

Greetings again, ladies and gents!

It’s time to share another exciting update about our 10th Anniversary Celebration, taking place June 13th-18th. As you know, we’ll be hosting special events all week. Today we’re unveiling our big plans for day four:

On Thursday, June 16th, from 2 pm-4 pm, we will offer a FREE Cricket Loom Demonstration!

If you’ve ever wondered about weaving, you won’t want to miss this opportunity. We’ll discuss everything from setting up (warping) through weaving beautiful and versatile fabrics. We’ll also have plenty of time to address your questions about weaving, such as, “Which loom is right for me?” and “What can I do with weaving?”

Left: Measuring warp yarns. Right: Winding warp yarns onto the warp beam.

If you’re ready to start weaving yourself, this event will be the perfect chance! We will be offering 10% off looms and loom accessories on Thursday, June 16th as well. Choose between the 15″ Cricket Loom, a portable, beginner-friendly, very affordable loom, and the 20″ Flip Loom, an exciting and extremely versatile loom for everything from the basics to advanced weaving techniques. We also carry extra heddles and shuttles, floor stands, tote bags, and books, so you can save on everything you need to get started weaving right away.

Above: The heddle partially threaded with the warp yarns. Visit our demonstration to see this warp completed and let the weaving begin!

Long distance customers, we have great deals for you, too! If you can’t be with us for the demonstration, we’ll still offer you the 10% discount on looms and loom accessories, PLUS a special discounted shipping rate. You can also purchase one of these great titles (shown below) to help you get started- they’re  excellent resources for weavers of all skill levels! These products (looms, loom accessories, and weaving books) are not currently available online, so call us in the shop at (931) 707-1255 to order.

We hope you’ll join us on Thursday, June 16th, from 2 pm- 4pm for this FREE event to learn more about weaving. It’s a fun and beautiful craft with endless possibilities, and it’s a great companion to your knitting and crochet! We look forward to seeing you there.
